Has anyone created an old school classic upright arcade parlor within virtual reality?
I know the lab, and it’s one of my favorite games. there’s also the one where you are sitting on the toilet and end up in a spaceship, and there’s NVidia VR Funhouse, but I remember that to be a bit glitchy.
I’m an "older" dude, who grew up with traditional upright video games and arcades, and realize I don’t really have the time for extremely long video games.
Virtual virtual reality was one of my favorites, and that’s not even long. But Skyrim VR is one of the most amazing experiences, but I just don’t have the time anymore.I also enjoyed the cubicle, of course that’s short and not even a game really. Rick and Morty and accounting plus where some of the most fun I’ve ever had. So obviously I’m not into complex stuff.
There’s a pinball and arcade expo in California once a year, and it’s just a big hotel banquet room filled with endless uprights and old school games. I was thinking that something like that would be perfect to exist in virtual reality. You’re in a room where you can go from old arcade game to old arcade game. In fact namco or Atari or Nintendo could have a wonderful time licensing all those games in a VR upright arcade.
I assumed it would be relatively easy, and as far as storyboarding not at all complex… Is anyone considered this, or has anyone planless, or does one already exist?
