Any way to use four monitors and Oculus Rift without having to unplug stuff?
Recently just bought a new graphics card, a GeForce GTX 1060 so I could better run games while using my Oculus Rift. I had a 960 before, and while it didn’t run that many games very well, it supported all four of my monitors, as well as the VR headset. I know it might sound like complete overkill, but I do have a four monitor setup that actually gets a lot of use, and I’m getting pretty tired of having to unplug one of my monitors, or the VR headset, depending on what I’m doing.
I don’t need to be able to run all five devices at the same time, but it would be nice if there were some way to at least keep them all plugged in, and easily switch out a monitor for the headset. I do have an HDMI switch, but it didn’t seem to work. It only seems to power on if the input side is plugged into a monitor, not the GPU. Is there some way I could disable a monitor or tell the GPU to stop using that monitor without having to reach behind my computer and fiddle around for five minutes? Or any other suggestions?
